In 2016, Järvenpää Art Museum honoured Erkki Eronen with a retrospective exhibition curated by the Museum’s Director Hanna Nikander.
On 11 March 2016, Eronen celebrated his 90th birthday at the Museum, looking back on 65 productive years devoted to art and sculpture.
The atmosphere at the party was warm and joyful. The exhibition was a triumph, attracting more than 3500 visitors over two months, despite of the cold winter weather.
